The 7th Stellar Prize Award

Terms and Condition
1. Eligibility
-
Open to all students (including international students) currently enrolled in Malaysian universities and colleges;

Open to both individual and group entries (Unlimited team size, designate a representative);
-
It is free to participate in the competition

2. Regulation for Contestant
-
Entries must be created in accordance with the rules and themes established by the Stellar Prize organisers.
​
3. Submission Deadline
-
Entries are open from 21st October 2024 (Monday) to 31th March 2025 (Monday) by 11:59 PM (MYT);
-
Late entries will not be accepted under any circumstances.

* Each category will feature a "Most Popular Award," determined by public voting, and a "Best Advisor Award," awarded to the advisor with the highest number of nominations from submitted productions.

5. Standards for works
-
​All entries should be original and adhere to the rules established by the TSP organisers. Participants are encouraged to present their works with innovative perspectives and unique expressions, showcasing diversity and creativity. Additionally, submissions should align with the theme, demonstrate a clear concept, and possess artistic value, effectively showcasing the participants' creative skills and depth of thought.

6. Submission Instructions

Click on the submission Google Form link.

Fill in the Google Form with the correct information.

The Artist's Statement should be written in English and not exceeding 250 words.
-
The Artwork Description should be written in English and not exceeding 200 words.
-
You will also need to submit your artwork file in the same Google Form. Name the file of your artwork to be submitted as Contestant Full Name_Category_Sub Category, (eg: Nichole Lee Jia Xin_Photo_Portrait).

A confirmation email will be sent to your registered email address within 48 hours if your entry has been received.

7. Restriction and Notification
-
All winning entries will be notified via email once the results are determined;
-
Contestants can participate in multiple categories with the same artwork or submit multiple works;
-
Contestants are strictly prohibited from using artificial intelligence tools or software to generate or enhance their submissions;
-
TSP reserves the right to disqualify any works generated by artificial intelligence;
-
Contestants must hold all applicable rights to the final video, including any retouching or other video processing;
-
Contestants are not allowed to take another videographer's idea/concept, or element and create on that. Infractions will incur for plagiarism if this happens;
-
The work submitted must be the outcome of the contestants. Any form of misconduct or plagiarism is a serious offence that will be penalised by disqualification;
-
Entries must be original works that have not been previously displayed or exhibited in any visual medium, including advertising, stock photos, social networking service accounts, or other competitions. The contestants must hold all applicable rights to the work;

Works that have won prizes in other competitions or have been submitted to other ongoing competitions, including similar works, do not meet the entry requirements. If a work is submitted to another competition after being submitted to this one, it will be deemed as having been submitted to other ongoing competitions;

Before submitting a work, contestants must take all necessary measures to protect the publicity rights and other rights of any individuals depicted in the work, including obtaining their permission to avoid any issues related to the infringement of those rights;

Contestants are responsible for resolving any legal issues related to their submitted works;

Entries containing any of the following content may be disqualified:
-
Content that violates any laws or is defamatory or libellous.
-
Content that constitutes or encourages criminal acts, leads to civil liability or violates any laws.
-
Content that contains violence, pornography, and politics.
-
Content in which animals were harmed or manipulated during its creation.
-
Content that infringes the copyright, trademarks, contractual rights, or any other intellectual property rights of third parties or entities, or infringes the privacy or publicity rights of any individual.

Materials that are protected by the copyright of third parties.
-
Names, portraits, or other identifying features of celebrities or other public figures.
-
TSP and sponsor partners reserve the right to publish submitted works for any purpose, with full credit given to the creators;

The contestants must accept the terms and conditions of the competition when filling in the submission form;
-
TSP reserves the right to disqualify any works in breach of the competition rules and reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice;
-
Any contestants/winners in breach of the rules will be withdrawn.​​
